After the tournament was over, Bob Varty sent an email to the chair, Nancy Colbert. Reading it, we recognized what a winner Bob is. Here it is:

Nancy,

What a great tournament!  You and all the Petoskey players should be proud of a job well done.  It was clear that much thought and care went into the planning and the execution of those plans.

The hospitality was unequalled.  Your area players are super - cordial, sincere, helpful, and above all else, friendly.  If all players were as thoughtful and cooperative as they are, there would be no need for a zero tolerance policy.

The treats were delicious, plentiful, and varied.  Coffee, ice water, hot tea, iced tea, and soda covered the drink options, and the meal on Sunday was outstanding.  You and your volunteers were constantly busy seeing that the guests had food and drinks available at all times.

It comes as no surprise that Petoskey draws sizeable crowds, and if word gets out, your numbers are sure to increase.  Again, congratulations on the tournament - your hard work and attention to detail was apparent and responsible for a wonderful weekend of bridge.  I'm sure all who played enjoyed themselves and will be eager to return;  I know I am.
